23 Year Old Arrested For Allegedly Setting Ex Girlfriend And Two Family Members On Fire

Police have arrested a 23 year old man suspected of setting fire to the house of his former girlfriend, an attack that reportedly resulted in the deaths of the woman, her mother and her sister.

The suspect, identified as Prince and popularly known as “On God,” is said to be a palm wine tapper. According to reports, he allegedly carried out the attack at Subrim Nkwanta in the Western North Region after a disagreement with his former partner.

Preliminary information suggests the suspect set the house ablaze during the night while the victims were inside. The fire quickly spread through the building, trapping the occupants and leading to the deaths of the three family members.

Residents in the area reportedly attempted to rescue the victims after noticing the flames, but the intensity of the fire made it difficult to save those inside the building. By the time the blaze was brought under control, the three victims had already lost their lives.

The incident shocked residents of the community, many of whom expressed disbelief over the tragic loss of lives. Community members said the suspected motive may be linked to a relationship dispute between the suspect and the deceased woman.

Following the incident, police launched an investigation which led to the arrest of the suspect. Authorities say he is currently in police custody assisting with investigations.

Police officials indicated that the suspect is expected to face charges once investigations are completed. Meanwhile, authorities are working to gather additional evidence and statements from witnesses to establish the full circumstances surrounding the case.

The tragic incident has sparked renewed concerns about domestic disputes and violent crimes related to relationship conflicts. Community leaders have called for stronger efforts to promote peaceful conflict resolution and protect individuals from acts of violence.
