Idris Elba Honoured With Wax Figure At Madame Tussauds London

British actor Idris Elba has been honoured with a wax figure at Madame Tussauds London, celebrating his remarkable career in film and television. Elba described the recognition as “truly special” and said it meant a lot to him personally.

The lifelike figure was unveiled on Friday in the attraction’s Awards Party zone, joining other prominent figures including Gillian Anderson, Timothée Chalamet, Lady Gaga, and Harry Styles.

Elba expressed his appreciation for the tribute, noting that the figure allows a part of him to “stand tall in London” even when he is away.

The wax figure was carefully crafted over several years by Madame Tussauds’ artists. It features a long‑sleeved monochrome suit designed by Elba himself, which he previously wore when meeting King Charles at an event addressing youth violence in 2024.

At 53, Elba is recognised for his roles in productions such as The Wire, Luther, and Apple TV+’s Hijack. The wax figure honours both his artistic achievements and his influence as a global cultural figure.
