Patricia Osei Boateng Turns Herself In to Assist Police in High-Profile Investigation
Ghanaian actress and producer Patricia Osei Boateng has voluntarily reported herself to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service to assist with an ongoing probe into a major robbery case that has drawn national attention.
The Kumawood star was earlier declared wanted by police after her name emerged in connection with investigations into a carjacking and robbery syndicate that allegedly carried out violent crimes across several regions, including an incident that led to the death of Andrews Amankwah, father-in-law of National Democratic Congress Communications Director Sammy Gyamfi.
Her late husband, Eric Antwi Duku, was alleged to be the leader of the syndicate and was killed in a shootout with security forces during a police operation. In the course of the investigation, authorities named Patricia as a person of interest, prompting the police to launch a manhunt.
Rather than evade authorities, Patricia Osei Boateng chose to present herself at the CID headquarters in Accra, where she is expected to cooperate fully with investigators as they seek answers about her alleged involvement or knowledge of the gang’s activities.
While police have not publicly detailed her exact role in the case, social media reports and law enforcement sources on platforms such as Facebook suggested she may have assisted her husband during some of the criminal operations, including allegedly disguising herself to help him avoid detection.
The development marks a key moment in a widely followed story that has brought attention to links between entertainment figures and serious criminal probes in Ghana.
