Agradaa Publicly Apologises To Mahama During Church Visit After Prison Release

Controversial Ghanaian evangelist Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, has publicly apologised to former President John Dramani Mahama during a church service at the Ebenezer Miracle Worship Centre led by Ebenezer Adarkwa Yiadom.

The emotional moment took place on Sunday, March 22, 2026, when Agradaa, dressed in white, went on her knees before the congregation and pleaded for forgiveness over past remarks she made against the former president. Her husband, Angel Asiamah, also joined her as they both knelt in a show of remorse.

Addressing the congregation, Agradaa humbly asked Mahama to forgive her for any offensive comments or actions. She invoked both spiritual and traditional authority as she expressed regret, marking one of her first major public appearances since her release from prison.

Her visit to the church was also to express gratitude to Prophet Opambour, whom she credited for playing a key role in her release. The service served as a thanksgiving gathering following her legal troubles.

Agradaa was previously sentenced in 2025 after being found guilty of fraudulent activities linked to a money doubling scheme promoted during a televised church service. However, a successful appeal at the High Court reduced her sentence, leading to her release on March 3, 2026.

Since regaining her freedom, she has kept a relatively low profile, sharing mostly religious messages online. Her public apology is widely seen as part of efforts to rebuild her reputation and mend strained relationships.

The incident has triggered mixed reactions across social media, with some applauding her humility while others believe she should also apologise to individuals affected by her past actions.
