According to the article, Nelly and Ashanti had tied the knot in a secret wedding held in Las Vegas. The article referred to anonymous insiders of the couple. ”While the two music stars are legally married, as revealed by public records, their marriage date shows that it was filed on December 27, 2023, that is, half a year ago,” TMZ revealed in its recent special report.
Nonetheless, both Nelly and Ashanti have not spoken to the media about the rumors claiming that they are already husband and wife. To the best of my knowledge there are no posts in any social networking sites, press releases or official statements from both parties. This lack of confirmation has left many people doubting the credibility of the rumors.
Nelly and Ashanti were in a relationship for some time around the early 2000s. They had a publicity of their affair and were among the most celebrated couples in the genres of hip-hop and R&B at the time. However, they separated in 2003. The two were an off and on couple from 2003 to 2013 with seeing each other earlier this year hand in hand at a boxing event.
Ashanti revealed several months ago that she was indeed pregnant for Nelly – with the singer coming out with the news due to speculations that she was pregnant. Although the lovers have not confirmed their rumors of being a couple, many fans are willing to believe that Nelly and Ashanti are even married.
