Vice President Mahmoud Bawumia has urged Ghanaians to deepen their spiritual commitment and seek divine guidance amid the nation’s ongoing challenges, during a thanksgiving service held recently in Accra.
The service, attended by government officials, religious leaders, and members of the public, served as an occasion for reflection and gratitude, with the Vice President emphasizing the importance of faith, unity, and moral steadfastness in navigating difficult times.
In his remarks, Mr. Bawumia encouraged worshippers to pray not only for personal blessings but also for wisdom for national leaders tasked with steering the country through economic and social headwinds. He reminded the congregation that collective progress depends on the strength of both individual character and shared purpose, underscoring the need for renewed commitment to values such as honesty, integrity, and resilience.
The Vice President acknowledged the struggles many families and businesses are facing, and called on citizens to remain hopeful and unified in their efforts to overcome adversity. He also expressed gratitude for strides made so far, including initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, enhancing economic stability, and expanding opportunities for youth and entrepreneurs.
Religious leaders at the event offered prayers for peace, stability, and spiritual revival across Ghana, appealing to worshippers to uphold compassion and support for one another in communities nationwide. Several attendees also shared testimonies of hope and perseverance, highlighting the role of faith in sustaining them through personal and collective challenges.
The thanksgiving service, according to organizers, was intended to foster a spirit of solidarity and mutual encouragement at a time when many Ghanaians are looking for hope and direction.
