Ebo Noah Arrested: Charges, Background and Court Details

Evans Eshun, popularly known as Ebo Noah, has been arrested following his failed doomsday prophecy that attracted widespread attention in Ghana. Details of his educational and professional background, as well as the charges he faces, have now emerged.

Ebo Noah gained notoriety in 2025 after claiming God had revealed a global flood would occur on December 25, 2025, and that he was building “arks” to save humanity. When the flood did not happen, he later stated in videos that divine intervention had delayed the event.

He was arrested on December 31, 2025, by the Ghana Police Service’s Special Cyber Vetting Team in Weija‑Gbawe while live‑streaming on social media. The arrest followed orders from the Inspector General of Police to address misinformation that could cause public panic.

During his first appearance at the Adenta Circuit Court, prosecutors confirmed that Eshun faces charges including false communication, deliberately misleading the public, and publishing false news with intent to cause fear and panic. The court remanded him into police custody for two weeks and ordered a psychiatric evaluation at Pantang Psychiatric Hospital ahead of his next hearing on January 15, 2026.

Authorities also shared that Evans Eshun holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Purchasing and Supply from Accra Technical University and previously worked as a security guard at a private school in Madina, Accra. Police clarified that he is a content creator and not a formal religious leader.

The case highlights the importance of preventing misinformation online and protecting public safety. The psychiatric evaluation will help determine his mental fitness as investigations continue.
