Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu believes in the potential of FC Samartex to take the Ghana Premier League by storm

Former Black Stars player Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu predicts FC Samartex 1996 will win the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League (GPL) title.

With four games remaining in the season, the Samreboi-based team is just two wins away from winning the championship. Despite only being in their second season in the top level, the Timber Giants have 55 points, with Nations FC trailing them by seven points.

The former Kotoko and Berekum Arsenal midfielder attributed Samartex’s success to their season-long planned recruitment, which has considerably improved the team’s play.

In an interview with Sunyani-based Services Radio, Agyemang-Badu praised the team’s management for developing.

“I predict Samartex to win the league. Agyemang-Badu commented, “I have 98% confidence that they will emerge as champions at the end of the season, despite having three games remaining.”

“They have performed exceptionally well as a team, displaying remarkable tactical discipline,” he said.

Agyemang-Badu emphasized his belief, saying, “If any team wins the league this year, it will be them, no doubt.”

The Timber Giants will visit Heart of Lions in Kpando this weekend in a potential title decider, while Nations FC faces Aduana FC.
