Global InfoAnalytics Poll Predicts Baba Jamal Leading In Ayawaso East By-Election

A recent opinion survey by Global InfoAnalytics suggests that Baba Jamal, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, is poised to win the upcoming Ayawaso East by-election with a projected 75 percent of the valid votes. The poll results, which were released ahead of the December 8 election, show Mr. Jamal far ahead of his closest competitors.

According to the survey, Mr. Jamal enjoys broad backing from voters in the constituency, with a strong lead attributed to his grassroots connections and popularity among residents. The results indicate that the NDC candidate could secure a significant majority if the poll trends hold on election day.

The poll also shows other contenders trailing far behind. Analysts say the wide gap in support reflects both the strength of the NDC base in the area and the perceived challenges faced by rival parties in gaining traction with voters so far.

Global InfoAnalytics noted that the sample size and methodology aimed to reflect a cross-section of registered electors in Ayawaso East. The firm emphasized that while polls can offer useful insights into voter intentions, actual results will depend on turnout and voting patterns on election day.

As the by-election draws closer, political parties in the constituency are intensifying campaigns to mobilize supporters and sway undecided voters ahead of the vote.
