Manchester City Sign Ghanaian Forward Antoine Semenyo

Manchester City have completed the signing of Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth. The 26-year-old has joined the Premier League champions on a long-term contract, keeping him at the club until 2031.

The transfer deal is reported to be worth around £62.5 million, with additional performance-related bonuses included. Bournemouth will also receive a sell-on percentage if Semenyo is sold in the future.

Semenyo had a strong season with Bournemouth, scoring 10 Premier League goals and providing three assists. He finished his time at the club with a stoppage-time winner in a 3-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

The Ghana international chose Manchester City despite interest from other top clubs, including Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea. He will wear the number 42 shirt for his new team.

Semenyo described joining Manchester City as a proud moment in his career and said he is ready to help the club compete for domestic and European titles. His pace, strength, and goal-scoring ability are expected to add depth to City’s attacking lineup.
