Okatakyie Afrifa Explains Why He Traveled To The USA To Serve His Country And People

Ghanaian media personality and political commentator Okatakyie Afrifa has opened up about the real reason behind his recent travel to the United States, dismissing claims that he left the country in search of greener pastures. According to him, the decision was purely academic and driven by his long term vision of serving Ghana and its people more effectively.

Speaking during a discussion on his media platform, Afrifa revealed that he is currently pursuing a Master of Laws degree at the University of Connecticut. He explained that after completing his education in Ghana and earning multiple certificates, he felt the need to advance his legal knowledge to a higher level. This, he said, would equip him with the skills and understanding required to contribute meaningfully to national development.

Afrifa stressed that education should not be pursued for personal recognition alone. In his view, knowledge becomes valuable only when it is used to impact society positively. He questioned the purpose of acquiring education if it does not translate into service to the people and solutions to real national challenges.

He further emphasized that his journey abroad is temporary and focused on personal development that will eventually benefit Ghana. Afrifa noted that his passion for public service remains unchanged and that his academic pursuit aligns with his broader goal of helping to build a stronger and more informed society.

His explanation has resonated with many supporters who see his decision as a strategic step toward self improvement and national service. By investing in his education, Okatakyie Afrifa believes he is preparing himself to contribute more effectively to the country he loves.
