In a recent radio show on Kumasi-based Sompa FM, a presenter recounted his past relationship with a minor, describing it as “an experience.” The presenter claimed the underaged initially lied about her age, stating she was 16. Lydia Forson and Sarkodie condemned the presenter’s actions with calls for his arrest. It comes with no surprise that the actress has spoken out about this trending yet shameful incident.
She voiced strong condemnation toward actions that aligns with her vision of advancing female rights.
“This is not just a confession, it’s a blatant admission of child molestation,’ Forson wrote on Instagram. ‘If i speak on the video you will say i hate men, you will ignor this man open bragged about sleeping with a 14 year old on air?”

The yet-to-be-determined radio presenter’s admission has sparked widespread anger and revulsion among the public. Sarkodie, a fellow celebrity and winner of the BET Award for Best International Act: Africa in 2012, also voiced his dismay on X.com. Under Ghanaian law, it is illegal to engage in sexual activity with a person under the age of 18. The Domestic Violence Act of 2007 also prohibits any form of sexual abuse, exploitation, or harassment of children.
