Award winning Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has shared a personal story about what he describes as the worst stage performance of his career, an experience that occurred during a show in the United States. According to the musician, the incident happened after he unknowingly consumed a biscuit that had been infused with a substance he was not aware of at the time.

Sarkodie explained that ahead of the performance, he was given a food hamper which included biscuits. Thinking it was a harmless snack, he ate some and also shared it with his manager. Shortly afterward, he began to notice unusual behavior, particularly from his manager, who was laughing excessively at things that were not meant to be funny. At that point, Sarkodie sensed that something was not right but had no idea what was causing it.

When it was time to go on stage, the rapper said he felt completely out of control. He struggled to focus, felt disoriented, and experienced difficulty performing songs he normally delivers with ease. He recalled feeling as though everything was moving in slow motion and even had to ask how close he was to the edge of the stage because he could not properly judge his surroundings.
