Shatta Wale and John Legend Drop Collaborative Single “Ain’t Nobody”

Shatta Wale has done it again. The Ghanaian dancehall star has joined forces with American R&B icon John Legend for a new single titled Ain’t Nobody, released today, March 20, 2026.

The track serves as the lead single from Shatta Wale’s upcoming studio album, scheduled for release later this fall.

Ain’t Nobody is a fusion of dancehall and soul. Shatta Wale delivers his verses in a classic ’90s dancehall sing-chat style over a backdrop of guitars and brass, while John Legend handles the chorus with his signature smooth vocals. The song’s lyrics center on themes of love and devotion.

The collaboration was co-written by both artists alongside Rob Murat, who also co-produced the track with Sean Kantrowitz. Leslie Quaynor served as executive producer under Fantasy Entertainment Group.

Shatta Wale first announced the collaboration on March 12, sharing the artwork on social media. In a subsequent TikTok Live session, he addressed the magnitude of working with a star of Legend’s caliber.

“I know people are like, how did Shatta Wale get John Legend on his song? It is God,” Shatta Wale said. “I am not a special artist, and so for such a big artist to collaborate with me, I will say it’s God.”

This is not Shatta Wale’s first high-profile international collaboration. He previously appeared on Beyoncé’s Already from The Lion King: The Gift album, which earned a Grammy nomination.

For John Legend, the track adds to a career that includes 13 Grammy Awards, an Oscar, a Tony, and an Emmy.

Fan reaction to the announcement was swift, with many praising Shatta Wale for continuing to elevate Ghanaian music on the global stage.
