No Man In Ghana Can Claim I Was His Ex-Girlfriend – MP Comfort Cudjoe-Ghansah

The Member of Parliament for Ada, Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe-Ghansah, has stated that no man in Ghana can claim she was once his girlfriend, revealing that she never dated before getting married.

Speaking in an interview about her early life and relationships, the lawmaker explained that she entered marriage without going through any romantic courtship or dating experience.

According to her, she chose to settle down with the man she married without being involved in multiple relationships beforehand. She stressed that because of this, no man can come forward to say they were once in a romantic relationship with her before marriage.

The Ada MP shared that she married at a young age and started her family early. She disclosed that by the age of 19, she had already given birth to her first child.

Reflecting on that period of her life, she said that when she reached the age where she felt ready for marriage, she went straight into it without going through the typical dating process that many young people experience.

She explained that her husband was the first man she had a relationship with, adding that the only claim someone could make about her is that she was once their wife, not their girlfriend.

Her comments have sparked conversations on social media, with many people reacting to her story and comparing it with modern relationship trends. Some users praised her values and discipline, saying that such lifestyles were more common in earlier generations.

Others, however, expressed mixed opinions, pointing out that times and social expectations have changed significantly.

Comfort Cudjoe-Ghansah is a veteran politician and currently serves as the Member of Parliament for the Ada Constituency in the Greater Accra Region. She has also served in government and held leadership roles in Parliament during her political career.

Her remarks have added to ongoing discussions about relationships, cultural expectations, and how societal norms around dating and marriage have evolved over time.
