Speaking during a television discussion, the actress explained that although she currently has no immediate plans to join politics, she would be open to the idea if it allowed her to influence policies that support the growth of the creative sector. According to her, the entertainment industry deserves stronger support because of its potential to create jobs and promote Ghanaian culture internationally.
Juliet Ibrahim noted that many professionals in the creative industry face challenges such as limited funding, inadequate infrastructure, and insufficient government backing. In her view, these issues could be addressed through stronger policy direction and leadership that understands the realities of the sector.
The actress explained that if she were ever to enter politics, her focus would be on advocating for systems that help creatives thrive. She believes that the entertainment industry has enormous economic potential and could contribute significantly to national development if given the right support and investment.
According to her, artists, filmmakers, musicians, and content creators represent an important part of Ghana’s cultural identity. She stressed that the sector requires deliberate policies that can help expand opportunities, improve working conditions, and position Ghanaian talent on the global stage.
Juliet Ibrahim also pointed out that having industry experience can help individuals better understand the challenges creatives face. She believes that people who have worked within the entertainment space can offer practical ideas that contribute to meaningful reforms.
Although she has not officially declared any political ambition, her remarks have sparked conversations among fans and industry observers about the possibility of entertainers stepping into leadership roles.
For the actress, politics would not simply be about holding office but about creating a platform to advocate for better opportunities for creatives and helping to strengthen Ghana’s entertainment industry.
