DNA Test Reveals Child I Raised For 10 Years Is Not Mine, LilWin Discloses
Kumawood actor and musician Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, has revealed that a DNA test showed that one of the children he had been raising for about a decade is not his biological child.
The actor shared the revelation during a discussion on social media, explaining that he decided to conduct a paternity test involving his children. According to him, the results confirmed that one of the children he had been caring for over the years was not biologically related to him.
LilWin said the discovery was painful but he chose not to react with anger. Instead, he focused on handling the situation calmly. He explained that despite the outcome of the DNA test, he does not intend to abandon the child and will continue to take responsibility as he has always done.
The actor noted that the child involved was unaware of the situation, having grown up believing LilWin was their biological father. For him, the emotional bond built over the years is important and cannot simply be erased by the test result.
LilWin did not publicly identify which of his children was involved in the situation. However, the revelation quickly sparked reactions online, with many social media users expressing sympathy for the actor while others discussed the broader issue of paternity testing.
Some commentators argued that DNA testing has become increasingly important in resolving paternity disputes and preventing misunderstandings in relationships. Others praised LilWin for choosing to remain supportive of the child despite the shocking discovery.
The incident has also revived discussions about the growing number of paternity related revelations being shared publicly, particularly through social media platforms.
LilWin, born Kwadwo Nkansah, is one of the most well known figures in Ghana’s Kumawood film industry. Beyond acting, he is also a musician and entrepreneur who founded a private school in the Ashanti Region.
His disclosure has since generated widespread conversation online, with many people debating how individuals should respond when faced with unexpected DNA test results.
