A water tanker driver identified as Kojo Agyei has publicly pleaded for forgiveness after admitting to having an affair with the pregnant wife of his close friend.
According to the young man, the incident happened while he had travelled to Tapa Amanya in the Oti Region for work. During that period, he developed a relationship with the woman, who was married to one of his close friends.
Speaking about the situation, Agyei explained that the relationship started unexpectedly and eventually turned into a secret affair. The development later created serious tension between him and his friend after the matter became known within the community.
The water tanker driver expressed deep regret over his actions and appealed to the public for understanding. He acknowledged that his behaviour had caused pain and embarrassment to the families involved. According to him, the situation has taken a heavy emotional toll on him and has affected his health and wellbeing.
Agyei said he now wishes he could undo the events that led to the affair. He admitted that betraying the trust of a close friend was a serious mistake and insisted that he is sincerely remorseful about what happened.
He has therefore appealed to his friend, the woman involved and members of the community to forgive him for his actions. The driver stated that he is determined to change his behaviour and move forward in a more responsible manner.
The revelation has triggered discussion among many people who believe situations involving close relationships can easily escalate into conflict and emotional distress when trust is broken.
Community members have also urged individuals to resolve personal disputes peacefully and maintain respect in relationships to avoid similar situations.
