Diana Asamoah Tells Prophet ElBernard To Take Five Years Away From Preaching
Ghanaian gospel musician Diana Asamoah has publicly challenged popular preacher Prophet Bernard ElBernard following the failure of one of his high-profile prophecies, saying he should take a prolonged break from pulpit ministry.
The controversy stems from a prophecy made by Prophet ElBernard, the leader of SpiritLife Revival Ministry, in which he predicted that politician Kennedy Agyapong would win in a recent political contest. When the prediction did not materialise after the elections, it sparked heated discussion across social media platforms, drawing attention from religious and entertainment circles alike.
Speaking on Angel FM, Diana Asamoah said the preacher’s failed prophecy was serious enough to warrant a longer period of reflection and withdrawal, suggesting that a five-year hiatus from preaching and public ministry could help him reassess his approach. She said that if a true message from God had been delivered, the outcome would not have been in error.
Asamoah also encouraged Ghanaians to rely firmly on the word of God rather than on speculative forecasts, especially those tied to political developments. Her comments drew mixed reactions online, with supporters urging accountability in prophetic declarations and critics defending the preacher and free expression of spiritual gifts.
The situation reflects broader public debate over the role of religious figures in political discourse, especially in instances where spiritual messages are linked to electoral outcomes.
