Mzbel Shares She’s Not Seeking Political Appointment, Only Wants To Perform
Veteran Ghanaian musician Mzbel has clarified that she is not interested in securing a political appointment from the National Democratic Congress and only wants to be booked to perform at party events.
In a recent statement, the singer said she is focused on her craft and does not aim to take up any political role, despite speculation linking her with the NDC ahead of upcoming activities. Mzbel emphasised that her interest lies in entertaining audiences rather than holding a position in government or party leadership.
She added that her relationship with the party is based on collaboration through music, and she would be glad to perform at rallies and events if invited. Mzbel stressed that she feels music can unite people across different political divides and bring positive energy to gatherings.
The artiste’s clarification came amid conversations on social media where some fans speculated that she might be seeking a role within the NDC as part of efforts to support the party. However, Mzbel denied these assumptions, insisting that she prefers to contribute through performances rather than politics.
