Ghanaian rap icon, Medikal, again demonstrated his support for upcoming talent Sunyani-based rap duo. Tha Black Boi and Alka Youngest, got a verse from AMG Medikal in their upcoming joint album. The duo were ecstatic to receive the collaboration, sharing their joy with fans on social media.
‘It’s a dream come true to have Medikal on our album,’ exclaimed Alka Youngest, his excitement palpable. Tha Black Boi emphasized, “He’s more than a legend; he passionately believes in music’s ability to unite and inspire.”
Medikal assured the duo their album would succeed globally. ‘This is a game-changer,’ he stated, ‘I see something special in these guys, and this album is going explode.’
Tha Black Boi and Alka Youngest are the names to watch for a revival of the Kasahari(Twi) rap style. They first burst onto the music scene in 2021, capturing attention with their blend of traditional Ghanaian rhythms and modern rap sensibilities. Emerging from Sunyani, the capital of the Bono Region, they are bringing fresh energy and a unique perspective to the Ghanaian music scene.
