Yung Miami Shares Loyalty to Diddy Cost Her Deals but Believes He Was a Changed Man

Rapper Yung Miami has opened up about the professional and personal fallout she faced after publicly supporting her ex‑boyfriend, music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, during his highly publicised legal troubles. In a recent interview, she said standing by him cost her opportunities but that she sincerely believed in the man she knew.

Speaking on The Breakfast Club on March 24, Yung Miami explained that writing a character letter for Diddy during his trial affected her career. She said she lost brand deals, money, and even relationships because of her public loyalty, adding that the experience has made her more cautious about who she trusts.

Despite backlash, she maintained that the decision to write the letter came from her personal experience with Diddy, saying she believed the person she knew was “a changed man.” She noted that she could only speak to the way he treated her and the positive impact he had on her life and growth.

When asked whether she owed her fans an explanation for her actions, Yung Miami said she felt both that her personal life was her own and that supporters deserved honesty, saying it was important for people to connect with her as a public figure.

Yung Miami and Diddy were romantically linked from 2021 until 2023. Their relationship included shared spiritual experiences, such as attending church together, but ended before his conviction. Diddy was found guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution and was sentenced to a 50‑month prison term after a high‑profile federal trial.

Reflecting on the aftermath of her support, Yung Miami said the ordeal affected her deeply, including her ability to trust others, and that now she mainly relies on faith and her children.
