Head coach Yussif Basigi has invited 35 budding athletes to camp at Cape Coast for intensive training prior to the U-20 Women’s World Cup slated in Colombia.
The championship is scheduled to take place from August 31 to September 22, 2024, and Basigi is using this benchmark event to cement his country’s place in world football.
Basigi, tactically astute and with the reportedly great ability for talent development, will combine some highly experienced players with rising talents to get the team up for Ghana.
Training camp in Cape Coast is for the sake of fine-tuning skills, building teamwork, and creating a sense of belonging among team members.
Basigi’s strategy to secure victory, therefore, is something that really augurs very well with fans of Ghanaian football as the excitement ratchets gradually upwards for a dynamic tournament that could leave an indelible mark in the history of the U-20 Women’s World Cup.
