A tragic road traffic accident at Breku Forest near the Pra River on the Accra–Kumasi Highway in the Ashanti Region has claimed the life of one person and left two others injured.
The crash happened on Sunday, January 25, 2026, when a heavy truck loaded with cement overturned, trapping the three people inside.
Firefighters from the Ghana National Fire Service quickly responded and worked to free the victims from the wreckage. Two of the trapped individuals were rescued alive and taken to the Juaso Government Hospital for medical treatment.
Unfortunately, one of the occupants was found dead at the scene. The body was recovered and handed over to the police as investigations begin to determine what caused the accident.
