DJ Mensah Urges Inclusion Of Rapperholic In Ghana’s 70th Anniversary Celebrations
Ghanaian DJ and music executive DJ Mensah has suggested that the popular Rapperholic concert should be included in the official activities planned for Ghana’s 70th independence anniversary celebrations in 2027.
According to DJ Mensah, the concert has grown into one of the biggest music events in Ghana and deserves recognition as part of the country’s national cultural celebrations. He believes the show has significantly contributed to promoting Ghanaian music and culture both locally and internationally.
The Rapperholic concert, headlined by award winning rapper Sarkodie, has become an annual event that attracts thousands of fans each year. Since its inception, the concert has served as a platform for showcasing Ghanaian talent and celebrating the achievements of the country’s music industry.
DJ Mensah noted that Rapperholic has evolved into a major entertainment brand that reflects the creativity and influence of Ghana’s contemporary music scene. For this reason, he believes it should be recognised alongside other major national activities during the Ghana at 70 celebrations.
He pointed out that including the concert in the official lineup would also help strengthen the connection between national celebrations and the entertainment industry. According to him, music plays an important role in shaping national identity and promoting Ghanaian culture to the rest of the world.
The DJ further explained that events like Rapperholic bring together music lovers, industry stakeholders, and international audiences, helping to highlight Ghana’s growing influence in the global entertainment space.
Rapperholic has over the years featured performances from leading Ghanaian artistes and international acts, making it one of the most anticipated concerts on the country’s entertainment calendar.
DJ Mensah’s suggestion has sparked conversation among fans and industry players about how major music events could be integrated into national celebrations to promote tourism, culture, and the creative arts sector.
As Ghana prepares to mark its 70th anniversary of independence in 2027, discussions continue about the types of activities and events that should form part of the historic celebration.
