Dulcie Boateng Reveals She Once Begged Men For GH¢100 To Help Her Sick Sister
Ghanaian influencer Dulcie Boateng has opened up about a difficult period in her life when she had to ask men for financial help in order to support her sick sister.
Speaking during the Empower Vault Summit, Dulcie shared that there was a time when her family was struggling financially and she desperately needed money to help pay for medical care for her ailing sister. As a result, she reached out to some men and requested GH¢100 from them in hopes of getting support.
According to her, the request was purely out of desperation and a desire to help her sister recover. She explained that the amount may appear small today, but at the time it was significant enough to assist with the urgent situation they were facing.
Dulcie revealed that the value of the money was also influenced by the exchange rate at the time, which made the amount more useful than it might seem in present circumstances.
However, the experience also exposed her to difficult choices. She recounted that at one point she refused an invitation from some men who wanted her to visit their residence before helping her financially. She declined the offer because she did not feel comfortable with the situation.
The influencer shared the story as part of a motivational message to young people about perseverance and the struggles many individuals go through before achieving success.
Dulcie Boateng has since become one of Ghana’s popular social media personalities, known for her lifestyle content and strong online presence. Her revelation about her past challenges has sparked conversations online, with many people praising her honesty and resilience.
She explained that sharing the story was meant to encourage others who may be going through similar hardships, reminding them that difficult moments can eventually lead to better opportunities in life.
