Achimota Senior Housemaster Threatens Legal Action Over Alleged False Sextortion Claims
A Senior Housemaster at Achimota School, Emmanuel Hanson, has indicated that he will take legal action against individuals behind allegations accusing him of sextortion, describing the claims as false and damaging to his reputation.
The controversy began after accusations surfaced suggesting that the housemaster had engaged in inappropriate communication with a former student. The allegations quickly spread on social media, sparking public concern and calls for investigation.
However, a police forensic investigation has reportedly found no evidence to support the claims. According to findings from the Cybercrime Unit of the Criminal Investigations Department, there was no record of any WhatsApp conversation between the housemaster and the former student that would support the allegations.
The case is said to have originated from a dispute over a mobile phone that had been confiscated from the student while she was in school. After completing school, the student reportedly contacted the housemaster to retrieve the device, leading to a disagreement that later escalated.
During the investigation, screenshots allegedly showing inappropriate messages were presented. However, the forensic analysis concluded that the messages did not exist on the housemaster’s phone, raising questions about the authenticity of the evidence that circulated online.
Following the outcome of the investigation, the housemaster’s legal representatives have stated that he has been cleared of wrongdoing and is now considering legal steps to address the reputational damage caused by the allegations.
The development has sparked discussions about the impact of unverified claims shared on social media and the importance of proper investigation before conclusions are drawn.
