Opare-Ansah Tells Pastors To Retract False Prophecies Or Be Called Fake
Frederick Opare-Ansah has publicly challenged some religious leaders over what he describes as inaccurate prophecies, urging them to retract predictions he believes have misled the public.
Opare-Ansah said pastors and prophets whose forecasted messages about national events or outcomes have not come to pass still have an opportunity to correct those statements. He warned that failure to retract misleading prophecies could lead to them being labelled as fake or unreliable by the public.
According to the statements attributed to him, Opare-Ansah’s comments reflect growing concern about the impact of unverified spiritual claims in public discourse, especially when such messages influence how people view national issues or future events.
He emphasised that religious leaders have space to clarify and withdraw prophecies that have not materialised, stressing that doing so would maintain trust between faith leaders and their followers. Opare-Ansah’s remarks have drawn attention online and across Ghana’s media as discussions continue over religious leadership and accountability.
The topic of prophetic accuracy has been a frequent subject of debate in Ghana, with some voices calling for greater caution and responsibility from charismatic and prophetic ministries.
