The hiplife/Hippop star has been in the news of late for both positive and negative reasons. Recently we applauded him for his incredible O2 show but guess what. The joy stood for some few days and got capsuled by his failed marriage.
Just before the O2 Show, Medikal had an interview with 3 music and confirmed his divorce with his ex wife Fella Makafui. During the interview he tried to give Fella a dignifying color despite their breakup though there was a lot of emotions boiling up in him. The news became the talk in town before, during and after his London show but currently we are witnessing the real adversity of it.
Medikal has been driven by emotions and made a lot of atrocious revelations agains his ex wife during their 4 years marital journey. His words sounds very touching and heartbreaking, looking at his personality in Ghana’s entertainment and the degree of torture from his own matrimonial home. In fact he has lived a very fake life to get smiles on the faces of his fans with his craft for the past years because the reality in his home speaks different.
During his revelation he claimed that his ex wife dumped her Eminent wedding ring that symbolizes their marital bond in the sea with no significant reason during one of her travels in Dubai. She also blocked him from reaching out to her on phone during most of her international trips, among several other torturing incidents, including physical assaults against him in their matrimonial home.
Clearly the rapper is not able to contain the maltreatment anymore so it obviously had to end in a breakup. With the norms of the world, most people see the woman (Fella) as a victim of the situation so Medikal had to unveil the full picture to the world for clarity but guess what, the media has sparked fumes against the rapper out of content.
People seems not to have interest in whatever he is disclosing but the fact that he is opening up is their can of worms. But this looks unfair from a neutral perspective because men are not free from the canker of emotions. Men are equally humans just like ladies and are not free from emotional traumas. Some awkward situations only get resolved after speaking your heart out but the world today want men to be insulators even when the power is beyond their strength.
When a man speaks out his emotions against a woman, his speech is not even considered but trolled just for the fact that he spoke out. I am not in any way trying to get men on the mic all the time however, we must consider issues as they are and give fair verdict irrespective of gender but until then, to be a man will always be a curse !!!
